Language Arts
Journal
This week I would like for you to make up a story in your journal! Make sure your picture is detailed and don't forget to write your sentence that goes with the picture and tells the reader what is happening in your story.
See Miss Granger's example above!
Poetry Book
Choose a Poem that we have not read yet. Underline each word and count how many words are in the poem. Next, look for sight words and circle any that you may see! Lastly, read the poem and see if there are any words that rhyme!
Daily 5:
If you can get through all 5 each day that's great! If you only have time for one that is okay too!!
Practice Writing
This week for writing we are practicing story writing. Find some spare paper and try writing a story. Each day you can add a new page just like a story book!

Math
This week we are continuing to work on graphing.
For our Spring Graph I would like you to practice your graphing skills we have learnt. We practiced our graphing everyday during calendar and in our math centers when we would have our "roll and graph center". You will colour in one square for each item you find in the picture. Make sure to see at the end which item there was more of.
Social Studies
We are continuing to talk about Community Helpers
In our town or community we have all kinds of people who are considered helpers. This means that there job is to help people and/or keep people safe.If you did not do this last week; I want you to look at the examples below and decide how there community helpers can help us or keep us safe.
Can you think of someone else who would be a community helper that is not in the picture below?

Choose a community helper to thank! Write a thank you letter to one of the community helpers you would like to thank don't forget to add a colourful picture! Lets make the people in our community feel good!
