I grew up in Blairstown, New Jersey - a rural farm town bordering Pennsylvania.
I first attended Cedar Crest College from 2016-2018. Then, I transferred and attended East Stroudsburg University and graduated in December 2020. I studied Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I was also a part of the radio station, 90.3 WESS, on campus.
Currently, I am studying to get my Masters in Education back where I started at Cedar Crest College.
Before attending ESU, I attended Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pennsylvania for two years. While in attendance there, the college sent my class on the first Carmen Twillie Ambar Sophomore Expedition to Rio de Janiero, Brazil. While abroad, I worked with Solar Meninos de Luz, a primary school. I also worked with the Instituto Marqués de Salamanca, at an early childhood education facility as part of their main effort, transforming poverty into citizenship.
Within my time at ESU, I was a part of the radio station on campus as a DJ and I also held the positions of Education Director, Program Director, and Station Manager.
I currently work for Community Services for Children in Allentown, PA, where I am a lead teacher in a Head Start/Pre-K Counts blended STEM classroom. I am also back at Cedar Crest College pursuing my M.Ed. and Instructional Coach endorsement with a projected graduation date of May 2027.
In my free time, I enjoy listening to or playing music, singing, hiking, gardening, traveling, going to concerts, making art, coloring, and trying new foods! I also enjoy organizing and and redecorating my space.
My personal life is full of fun and always very busy with my step-daughter, Alaia, and my fiancé, Elijah. I am grateful for their support in me going back to school and pursuing my goals.
