What is Copyright?
What is Fair Use?
Copyright helps protect the original author's work. This seals their work so no one is allowed to use their ideas or information without their consent. This law is important because it prevents people from taking other ideas and claiming it as their own. If you came up with an idea, you would not want your friend to take credit.
Fair use protects people who use another person's ideas. This is to protect people on newscasts or schools. Fair use is to protect someone from being accused of copyright. But there are four factors to be considered. If these do not apply, then it is copyright.
