We have been studying poetry for the last week, and it is time to put our skills to the test! Throughout our Unit, we have learned that poetry can be written anywhere at anytime about anything. Where an author has freedom is choosing how to structure their poem to match how they want their audience to respond. In narrative poetry, the speaker's goal is to tell a story to the reader. In a lyric poem, the author strives to express deep personal feelings. In this WebQuest, your goal is to use both tools we have discussed in class, and the resources in this site to write your own narrative or lyric poem. This website is full of resources to help you find inspiration for your poem, formatting tips, and grading rubrics.
