Undergrad thesis on marine catfish taxonomy

My undergraduate thesis was about the diversity of marine catfish on the Bangladesh coast through morphometry and molecular taxonomy. Seven valid species had been identified, where one species was documented as a new distribution record for the Northern Bay of Bengal and one as a new genetic record for Bangladesh.

Gelatinous Zooplankton

I have worked on a research project about gelatinous zooplankton present on the Bangladesh coast. We collected samples and will identify those using morphometric characteristics and DNA confirmation. A few species of Jellyfish and a Salp species are recorded as new distribution from the Bangladesh coast till now.

Seaweed

I collected some seaweed samples from the Kutubdia Sea coast and identified those, and recorded seven species. Using this scientific data, we published a conference paper.

Phytoplankton

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. SM Sharifuzzaman, my research journey started with Nanochloropsis sp. (Isolated phytoplankton) culture. We isolated and identified this species from Potenga Sea Coast, Bangladesh. We optimized the growth parameters for this species after having done so many experiments.
