[一言]妻と息子一人の三人家族です。妻も近い分野の研究者で、家や旅行先でも研究の話題が出て、仕事とプライベートの境界が曖昧な生活を送っています。環境問題は多くの分野にまたがるため、他分野の方々と協力しながら横断的・学際的に研究活動に取り組んでいくことを目指しています。また、学生には、私が恩師の姿を通して感じたように、研究は苦労も多い一方で、それを補って有り余るほどの楽しさとやりがいがあるということを伝えていきたいと考えています。

[Message] I have a family of three (my wife, our son, and myself). My wife is also a researcher in a closely related field, and even at home or while traveling, research often becomes a topic of conversation, resulting in a lifestyle where the boundary between work and private life is somewhat blurred. Environmental issues span multiple disciplines, and I aim to advance my research in a cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary manner through collaboration with researchers from diverse fields. Furthermore, as I learned through observing my mentor, I would like to convey to students that while research involves many challenges, it also offers a level of enjoyment and fulfillment that more than outweighs those difficulties.

[研究テーマ]紅色光合成細菌を用いた都市下水処理における流動担体の活用

[一言]新潟県三条市出身です。研究テーマは、下水などに生息する光合成細菌を用いた廃水処理と有価物生産、回収の研究をしています。研究室に入ってから日本酒が好きになりました。将来は世界中を飛び回りながら働きたいです。

[Research Topic] Utilization of fluidized carriers in sewage treatment using purple phototrophic bacteria
[Hobbies] Visiting hot springs, playing football
[Message ] I am originally from Sanjo City, Niigata, Japan. My research focuses on wastewater treatment using photosynthetic bacteria found in sewage, as well as the production and recovery of valuable resources. Since joining the laboratory, I have developed an interest in Japanese sake. In the future, I would like to work while traveling around the world.
