創価大学 環境創生微生物工学研究室（秋月研）へようこそ！

微生物は、数十億年に渡る進化の過程で、多様な代謝機能を獲得してきました。こうした微生物の働きは環境分野で広く活用されていますが、従来の排水・廃棄物処理では、多くのエネルギーや薬剤を必要とすることや、処理に伴い二次廃棄物（汚泥等）が発生すること、さらには有用資源が十分に回収されていないといった課題があります。

当研究室では、未だ十分に活用されていない微生物の機能を最大限に利用し、生活圏内の物質循環を高度化（効率化・多元化・分散化）することで、持続可能な環境を創出を目指しています。この研究領域を「環境創生微生物工学」と位置付け、基礎から応用まで幅広く研究しています。

Welcome to the Microbial Engineering for Sustainable Environmental Systems (MiSES) Lab at Soka University!

Microorganisms have acquired a wide variety of metabolic functions through billions of years of evolution. These functions have been widely utilized in environmental applications. However, conventional wastewater and solid waste treatment processes still face several challenges, including high energy and chemical consumption, the generation of secondary wastes such as excess sludge, and the insufficient recovery of valuable resources. 

Our laboratory aims to create a sustainable environment by maximizing the potential of underutilized microbial functions and enhancing material cycling within human living environments through greater efficiency, diversification, and decentralization.  We define this research field as Microbial Engineering for Sustainable Environmental Systems, and conduct research spanning from fundamental studies to practical applications.

• 2026年4月1日　創価大学理工学部にグリーンテクノロジー学科が開設されました。

• 2026年2月20日　創価大学プランクトン工学研究所主催でシンポジウム「Frontiers of Green Technologies」を開催しました。

• 2025年9月16日　第三文明社から「地球を救うグリーンテクノロジー」が発刊されました。

• April 28, 2026: Our laboratory website has been launched!

• April 1, 2026: The Department of Green Technology was established in the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Soka University.

• February 20, 2026: A symposium titled “Frontiers of Green Technologies” was held, organized by the Plankton Engineering Research Institute, Soka University.

• September 16, 2025: “Green Technology to Save the Earth” was published by Daisanbunmei Publishing
