I, Harmony, am the lead artist on this honoraria project, working alongside my father Mark Switzer, our flame enthusiast and fire safety director.
My father and I started going to burning man in the early 2000s when I was a small child. We were both very intrigued and inspired by all the art we saw there. Being on the temple crew for a few years, my father learned about the workings large scale project operations. With this information, and his previous knowledge as a general contractor, we started tinkering with our own projects. He taught me how to weld at 12 and we took off from there; building art projects of all types, from small chain figure studies that hand on our wall, to Jacob's ladders and flame effects that shoot 60 foot wide balls of fire.
