Personal essays, short reflections, poems, letters (to your body, your baby, your past self, your partner), journal-style entries, prayers, artwork, and other experimental forms.
Yes. You can publish under your name, a pen name, or anonymously. You’ll choose what you’re comfortable with.
Yes. Contributors selected for publication will receive an honorarium paid at publication. Details (amount and payment process) will be provided to selected contributors in writing before final agreements are signed.
With care. You’re encouraged to remove identifying details you don’t want public. If your piece includes other people (partners, family, providers), you can use pseudonyms and alter specifics to protect privacy.
You do. Submitting does not transfer ownership. If your piece is selected, you’ll be asked to sign a simple publication agreement that spells out rights clearly.
Yes. You can withdraw at any time before contracts are signed and the manuscript is finalized.
Yes. The final book will include content notes (as needed) to help readers navigate topics like medical trauma, infant loss, abuse, self-harm ideation, or graphic details.
Rolling submissions will be accepted until June 30th, 2026. If selected, you’ll be contacted about next steps, edits, and publication details.
