Mirjam Stockburger

Welcome to my website!
I am an assistant professor (with tenure track) for Data Economics at the Faculty 02 - Economics and Business Studies of the Justus Liebig University Giessen. Before that I was a postdoctoral Max Weber Fellow at the Economics Department of the European University Institute. My main research interests are in the fields of applied microeconometrics with topics from health economics, economics of education and policy evaluations. I did the doctoral study program in economics at the University of Hohenheim and I defended my dissertation in November 2020. In March 2024, I received an Individual Research Grant of 100,968€ from the DFG for the project 'Fast-Track to Family? The Influence of Shorter Schooling on Family Planning' joined with Olivia Masi, PhD researcher in EUI's Department of Economics.
Our paper The Morning After: Prescription-Free Access to Emergency Contraceptive Pills (joint with Gregor Pfeifer) is published at the Journal of Health Economics.
