Why a board book?

Have you ever let an infant/toddler hold a book, whether paperback or hardback, and heard that dreaded sound of the page ripping underneath their tiny little fingers? You look up to see them holding a shredded piece of paper that was once their favorite book. That book will never be same. You can try to tape it back together, but it just won’t have the same look and feel that it once did. I don’t want this to happen to my book. Plus, a board book is easily handled by infants and toddlers. As tiny humans, they are naturally curious. They will want to turn the pages and play with the book as with toys. And that is perfectly fine to do with this board book. It’s meant to be held, read, carried, thrown, and loved by kids.

Take a look at all the children’s books you have at your house. I bet you can easily pick out a book about farm animals, ocean creatures, or forest friends. Well, here is your book about lake animals. The rhyming pattern encourages early language development and creates a fun way to count from 1 to 10.
