Father to 3 children (Miriam being the youngest). “As a child growing up, going to the lake was such a treat. I have many great memories of being at the lake with my family. So when we decided to use the lake as the backdrop for Rae to begin her counting adventure, I thought it was the perfect setting. This has been such a fun adventure working on this project with my daughter."

Mother to 2 little girls. "The book is named after my oldest daughter. This will be my first publication, but definitely won’t be my last. I enjoyed watching the words on the page come to life over a year or so. This project was a family affair. My dad and I wrote this book together and my talented cousin took on the task of illustrating. All the editing was done by Lauren Stuhmer, who is also my cousin and sister to Marie (the illustrator)."

Interior Designer by day. But as a sister to 7 and an aunt to 3 (and counting!) she fully appreciates a captivating children's book. “When my cousin reached out to ask if I'd like to illustrate a kid's book she was working on, I was definitely on board! This project has been different than any art project I've worked on before, but has been super fun and I'm excited about illustrating our next family publication in the future.”
