My name is Miriam Ilan Salazar. I was born in Panama. I love languages and learned english first from my father at home, went for 6 years to a french school. My parents were both born here as most of my family.

I love painting, traveling and reading.

CONCLUSION

My portfolio has a common thread that is the African continent that is mostly unknown and viewed not as developed as the rest of the planet. Thru it and open door was open to their people, their customs and way of life which is what we learned more generally on the Moodle information. It opens our world to how humans are culturally and ethnically diverse. Our customs, languages.

How athropology connects all of these characteristics that make us so different and also the commonality that connect us to one another. How our society works. The biases, the diversity and how being so different in many ways is not a disadvantage but a way in which we can learn and advance with respect and understanding of one another.

This class I enjoyed very much and wished it could be attended by everyone so it could open the minds and eyes of many, especially for us students to see that we are part of a bigger picture, that we are all connected and should always think about others, put ourselves in their places for which will help all of us be more aware what, why and how and where we should move from here.
