The Michigan Trauma System is built to provide coordinated, patient-centered care through collaboration among hospitals, EMS agencies, and regional partners.

Region 5 operates under the statewide framework established by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) to improve outcomes and reduce preventable deaths and injuries.

Each component—RSoCA Board, RTAC, RPSRO, and Injury Prevention—plays a vital role in improving the Region 5 Trauma System. Together, they form a collaborative network committed to advancing patient care, strengthening system performance, and supporting safer communities.
