A controversial opinion
Miras is a quiet person who does not usually share strong opinions publicly.
However in 2022 he has expressed his position on a controversial topic - abortion - during Zamandas podcast which sparked division among the audience.
The debate on the podcast stemmed from the music video – Zhanamyn –
released earlier that year, which referenced abortion through emotional and
metaphorical footages.
But such position never depicts a person in their entirety.
It's easy to judge a passage, a moment, a sentence but it's more difficult
to get to know the person in their complexity.
This fragment of opinion is to be placed within a broader vision:
that of a young man who searches, navigates and positions himself
but always with authenticity, sincerity and guided by his deeply rooted faith.
Looking with the heart is the key to a genuine and better understanding of one's personnality.
About women
In 2025, he expressed his support for women:
“Let’s support, protect, and uplift women!
Don’t think that everyone is the same because of one person’s actions.”
This came in response to a wave of confusion, after some listeners wrongly associated his brother’s controversial remarks with Miras himself.
The misunderstanding followed a video that went viral on social media, showing a woman being harassed by a suspicious man in a mosque.
In the aftermath, his friend and public figure Adil Baltabayev reacted strongly. He wrote :
"You don't know Miras.
You don't know how good, honest,
sincere and generous a man he is.
In every song, Miras pays homage
to the beauty of women.
He speaks of them with respect,
gentleness, and warmth.
We are not responsible for
the words of our loved ones."
