Year 10 and/or Year 12 online (Zoom, Jun 25) 📄 Registration of interest form
Mirai is a free student excursion/incursion for Year 10 students of Japanese, with the aim of increasing retention to Year 11-12 Japanese, and illuminating another dimension to language study beyond the Year 12 exam - a gateway to personal development, adventure, lifelong connections and an identity as a citizen of the world.
Over 10 professional and youth speakers present information about future experiences that can be had with Japanese - on-campus at Macquarie University (NSW Australia) and online via Zoom.
🎁 'Okashi Box' prizes, Kahoots, and a scavenger hunt ensure engagement and fun for students.
In 2024, 14 schools attended on-campus, and 75 schools attended Australia-wide online.
In 2025, we will also offer a trial, condensed Year 12 session with a specific focus on careers and work. This session can be supervised by a librarian or careers advisor.
