Miner Madness

Miner Madness is a co-op board game aimed at teaching critical and logical thinking. Players act as a team of miners that must navigate obstacles and avoid danger to dig up hidden treasures deep within the earth.

Keys to successful gameplay include communicating with other team members and creating functions to enhance the game and progress faster.

The game can be used to teach code theory to middle school students.

There are 3 animated videos that can be shown to help teach code theory and how to play the game. The Intro, About Code Theory, and How to Play

There is a physical game and a fully online version of the game that can be played on a web browser.

There is also a lesson plan so that students can make their own game after they play Miner Madness, taking what they have learned about code theory and applying it to parts of the curriculum they are working on.
