The first workshop dedicated to future-proofing, with selected aspects of the Valencia and Amarante visions, and 2030 strategic priorities, was successfully conducted. The event was attended by 35 participants, including project partners and personnel from the municipalities of Amarante and Valencia.
The workshop provided valuable training on future-proofing, focusing on two techniques of great interest: future scenario analysis and new projects’ ideation techniques. Participants engaged in interactive learning activities, gaining insights on how to address complex societal challenges through localized action.
The active participation and collaboration of all attendees contributed to the resounding success of the workshop.

This workshop will be dedicated to Geodesign, a tool that can help municipalities foster continuous mission-driven learning and decision-making on future spatial development. It provides a structured, collaborative framework for understanding processes and impacts and building consensus on how to arrange mission-oriented policies and projects across sectors, space, scale and time into a feasible and adaptable spatial development scenario.
During the training, by using the Geodesign Hub software, participants will assess collected ideas and create new ones to create and negotiate a coherent final scenario. The reflection on how the scenarios were made and what was agreed will serve as a learning platform on which are important actors/institutions, impact assessments, spatial interventions and models to secure fair and knowledgeable mission-oriented scenario.

We invite you to the third workshop of the Erasmus+ Project Mind The Missions!
The main objective of the MIND the MISSIONS project is to improve the skills of adults, in this case public employees, with innovative teaching methods and tools.
The third workshop focuses on project design and management, a discipline that optimizes, systematises, and ensures the high-quality design and delivery of projects. In this workshop, all participants will have the opportunity to learn about project management methodologies and actively engage with them.
The Mind The Missions (MTM) Project Management Workshop will revisit existing project management tools tailored to the project goals and city missions, offering valuable insights for the capstone project and the best methods for integrating all three tools within the framework of embedding adult education curricula. Given that the capstone projects address the missions of making cities smarter, climate-resilient, and carbon-neutral, a holistic approach to these missions recommends the combined use of these tools.
Participation is free of charge, but limited to available spots.
Registration is mandatory.
Consortium partners will be given priority to participate, as well as those that work for municipalities.

This online training was conducted by @geodesignhub7610 in the context of Mind the Missions! Erasmus + project (KA220-ADU - Cooperation partnerships in adult education Number of Project: K2022-1-ES01-KA220-ADU-000087219).
Geodesign tool contributes to generating a shared understanding on common issues, using spatial visualisations of alternative scenarios to facilitate dialogue between different stakeholders. Geodesign tool was successfully adapted as a training tool for municipalities, enabling them to incorporate it into their adult education programs.
The toolkit has been meticulously structured into teaching modules, encompassing:
future-proofing and guidelines for training workshops' preparation, implementation, and evaluation;
geodesign and corresponding workshop guidelines; project management tools and associated workshop guidelines;
guidelines for developing capstone projects linked to the vision of smarter, climate-resilient, and carbon-neutral cities.
