The MindSpar Ideathon
An SVC Initiative to Showcase Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship Spirit in Undergraduate and Postgraduate students
MindSpar is a pioneering annual event held by the Sri Venkateswara College under the aegis of “Catalysis” the Biochemical society of the college. It was conceived and initiated with a vision to promote creativity and out-of-the-box thinking amongst students. In 2017, MindSpar was launched with the sole objective of encouraging young minds to come up with innovative ideas as solutions for pressing societal problems. After a phenomenal success amongst students and on popular demand, we return with MindSpar 3.0 – “Adding New Dimensions” , the third event in the series of ideathons on sustainable development.
MindSpar was launched to create an entrepreneurial mindset and work readiness in the youth of today, such that they are problem solvers and job providers rather than just being job seekers. Such an endeavor equips students with 21st century employability skills. The students get a first hand experience at business start-up and presentation skills. Most importantly, students apply their acquired skills to obtain solutions to real life problems outside the classroom making them responsible for their futures.
