Why do you end your videos with "You Are Enough?"
Why do you end your videos with "You Are Enough?"
You are not your feelings and thoughts (even though it feels like that sometimes). When we internalize experiences, messages, school or job performance, and relationships we can sometimes start to internalize the feelings and thoughts in a way that is not helpful or makes us feel like there is something wrong with us. This can cause us to feel like we are not enough or unworthy of love and good things in our lives. That is why mindfulness is such a helpful practice...it teaches us to be present with our emotions and experiences without unhealthy judgement or shame.
"You are enough" does not mean you stop trying to level-up or excel or improve; it means there is challenge in the journey of growth, and it means to honor our human-ness. It means self-forgiveness and it means you are worthy of love no matter how "ugly" or unpleasant your feelings and thoughts feel. We are human with a range of complicated and complex emotions. If we only think we are worthy of love when we are pretty, happy, perfect, and achieving, then we will always be trying to fill a bucket that has holes.
You Are Enough.
