What unites our team toward a common goal is our shared recognition of the urgent need to preserve the cultural heritage embedded in Mindanao's traditional dances. As researchers and cultural advocates, we understand that these dances are more than just performances—they are living testaments of identity, history, and collective memory.
Through our undergraduate thesis Mindalit, we aim not only to document the abundant dances of Mindanao but to capture the intricacies of their movements, meanings, and historical roots. This collaborative endeavor is driven by a collective passion: to prevent the erosion of cultural knowledge in the face of modernization and to provide future generations with access to these embodied traditions.
This website is an output of an undergraduate thesis which aims to create a repository of dance literatures that will aid the educators, students, and other consumers of this information.

At the heart of our work lies a common belief—that cultural preservation is not merely academic, but a moral responsibility. This belief fuels our unity and perseverance, guiding us to create a thesis that honors, protects, and revitalizes the heritage of Mindanao through scholarly research and creative documentation.
