My name is Mina Ardestani, and I am honored to begin my first year as Principal of Riverside Jr./Sr. High School. After eight rewarding years serving the students, families, and staff of McNichols Plaza Elementary School, I am excited to join the Riverside community and continue my passion for educational leadership.
With more than 15 years of experience in education as both a classroom teacher and administrator, I began my career teaching Spanish before pursuing my goal of becoming a school leader. I hold advanced degrees in Curriculum and Instruction, English as a Second Language, and Educational Leadership. As a lifelong learner, I am committed to fostering a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and continuous growth for both students and staff.
I believe that strong partnerships among schools, families, and the community are essential to student success. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every student is supported, challenged, and empowered to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. I look forward to working alongside our dedicated faculty and staff, engaging with our families, and building meaningful relationships throughout the Riverside community.
On a personal note, I am the proud mother of two amazing young men and two beloved fur babies. I am also the founder of the local nonprofit organization Presence from Prison, which reflects my commitment to public service and giving back to our community. I believe education has the power to transform lives, and I am excited to partner with the Riverside community as we work together to help every student achieve their fullest potential.
