My name is Mina Ardestani and I am proud to be serving a seventh year as principal of McNichols Plaza Elementary School. I bring 15+ years experience as a classroom educator and as an administrator. I began in the classroom, as a Spanish teacher, and continued my own education with the goal of serving as an administrator. I hold advanced degrees in curriculum and instruction, English as a Second Language, and school leadership.
As a lifelong learner with a passion for education at all levels, I am very excited to have the opportunity to continue that passion for education while serving as the principal at McNichols Plaza.
Collaboration with parents and community members is crucial to my goals. I am committed to addressing the day to day needs of children in order to provide a safe and welcoming environment where all students can thrive socially, emotionally and academically.
On a more personal level, I am a proud mother of two intelligent and handsome young men, and two beautiful fur babies. I am the founder of a local nonprofit organization called Presence from Prison. I believe in being a public servant and giving back to our community.
