Yoga is an ancient, transformational practice that encourages the union of mind, body and spirit. It helps us to tune in to our individual needs, rewarding us with a host of health benefits both mental and physical.
Wear something comfortable to move around in – shorts or leggings and a comfortable top. Layers are always a great idea so you can stay cosy during our closing relaxation. I do not advise wearing socks for yoga due to gripping the mat but this is personal preference.
Absolutely! Whatever you might think, yoga is for all shapes and sizes and it’s never too late to take it up. Everyone is welcome in my class. My classes are designed to help you build flexibility, mobility, and strength over time, wherever you are starting from today. Yoga is not just about physical postures but about what’s going on inside – meditation, philosophy and breathwork are all part of the practice. I use blocks, straps, and plenty of modifications, ensuring the practice fits your body - not the other way around. Come exactly as you are.
Public group classes aren't for everyone. For a variety of reasons, you might feel like a one-on-one class or a private group class is more suitable for you. If you're interested in discussing either one-on-one classes or yoga for private events, drop me a line at mimisinghalyoga@gmail.com or fill in an enquiry form: one-on-one class form and private group / event form.
I offer a 10% discount for students, key workers / blue light services, and those on a low income. If booking via Eventbrite, please email me for the promo code.
The Community Yoga Classes I teach at Yogarise are £7 in person and £3 online but if this is beyond your means, please email hello@yogarise.london for a free of charge space (or whatever is accessible for you).
Yes, in many cases yoga can be incredibly supportive for recovery and management, but your safety always comes first.
If you are dealing with a recent injury, are pregnant, or have a chronic medical condition, please consult your doctor or physical therapist before joining a class. If you are given the green light to practice yoga, please let me know (if you feel comfortable to) so I can offer subtle modifications to support your practice. Always remember: you are the ultimate expert on your own body, please listen to it and practice in a way that reflects that.
