our story since 2006

2006: bought the 24-acre property in Southern Barossa and managed to save most of the 100-year old grapevines in the 6-acre vineyard: Grenache, Semillon, Muscat of Alexandria. We also planted new grape varieties: Mataro, Saperavi, Vermentino.

2011-2019: established our wine label and made boutique natural wines. Our Tinto Rosso, Barrica Rose, Ambrato, and Witchcraft were loved for their elegance, purity, exceptional taste and genuine winemaking craftsmanship.

2017: for the wedding of our younger daughter we landscaped the beautiful native bush hill above the vineyard, created paths and  planted native species to increase biodiversity and provide habitat for wildlife.

2019: became grandparents! Two precious grandchildren changed our world, gave us a new purpose, and shifted our priorities. Life is now a new adventure, watching them grow!

2021: built a unique tourist studio, inspired by the rustic style of the Barossa region. It's Bonza! at Mill About Vineyard is an accessible and inclusive tourist accommodation, welcoming guests of all abilities and walks of life. Book here. 

2022: another precious addition to our sweet grandchildren's team! Our lives now revolve around spending time with them when we visit their families, and the three curious explorers coming to visit us at Mill About Vineyard!
