Helen Keller Gardening Sessions:
Morning Gardening from 10 am - 12 noon on Sundays. Fill in an Expression of interest to be advised of specific dates.
Please bring garden gloves, hand weeding tool(s), sunhat or rain gear and drinking water. Last minute changes will be advised via the Lobethal Community Association Facebook site or by text message for those registered.
Tasks volunteers have helped with:
Site preparation + Irrigation
For example:
setting up safety bollards;
laying irrigation drip system;
placing stakes as markers, moving mulch.
preparing planting beds
laying jute weed mat
Planting Working Bees
For example:
planting small tube/potted plants
planting trees in pre dug holes
installing tree guards and stakes
watering in & spreading mulch
using an auger to dig planting holes
'Behind the Scenes' Project Support
For example:
taking videos / photographs
providing morning / afternoon teas
promotion tasks - updating website, FB
admin tasks - maintaining a mailing list
