This is my favorite Bible verse. Every time that my life has taken a turn that wasn’t in MY plans, I try to remind myself that it is in GOD’S plans and there is a purpose for it. Every difficulty we face is meant to somehow prepare us for what’s to come and make us into who we are meant to be. This verse has been running through my mind as I begin this new journey of starting my own business. After lots and lots of prayer, I feel like this is where God is leading me and I am trusting in Him to continue to guide me.
I know that having a child with a diagnosis or delays is not in any parent's plan, but I hope that you are able to have hope in knowing that there is a reason for it. I have seen parents go through unimaginable circumstances and I have seen them grow as parents and as people. They become more involved in their child’s life, become a better advocate for their child’s medical needs, grow in their relationship with God and with their families, change their priorities, and some have even chosen a new career path because of those experiences. The children I have worked with have also grown to be some of the strongest, kindest, funniest, most lovable kids I have ever known. They are changing the world for the better because of those difficult things that they have overcome. So as you go through these trials, I hope you can remember that it's all part of God's plan and he has a purpose for you and your child that this is helping to prepare you for.
God bless!
