I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Geology at the University of New Mexico, where my research focuses on understanding the carbon dynamics within the arid floodplains of the Rio Grande. My work is centered on exploring how factors like hydraulic dynamics, temporal changes, and local geomorphology influence carbon storage in modern river floodplain.
I believe that understanding the intricate systems of our environment is key to addressing climate change, and I am committed to advancing knowledge in the carbon cycle while also fostering a deeper connection between science and society. Through my work, I hope to contribute to a more sustainable future and inspire others to think critically about the impact of human activities on our planet.
