Hospital Shadowing - Ongoing Event
Our club members have had the wonderful opportunity to observe cleft care in action at Children's Wisconsin Hospital! One of our club members, Hannah, reflects on her experience:
"This past week, I had the opportunity to shadow Dr. Barbeau and Dr. Pollyana. It was an honor to learn how they collaborate with an incredible team of healthcare providers to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with cleft lip and palate and their families.
I witnessed firsthand how these one-of-a-kind, custom-made appliances can truly transform a child's life. It was inspiring to see the passion, patience, creativity, and talent that both doctors bring to every patient they care for. It was a privilege to gain insight into their innovative day-to-day work and experience firsthand the profound impact they have on each child and family they serve. Watching the confidence and hope they help restore through their care was truly inspiring, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn from them."
