Research

My research interests are in development of spatial and spatio-temporal models for various real applications in climate, air quality, engineering, and political science problems. I have been working on covariance models for Gaussian processes on the surface of spheres, focusing on issues such as nonstationarity, spatio-temporal nonseparability, and cross covariances for multivariate settings. I am also working on development of spatial and spatio-temporal point process models including Log-Gaussian Cox processes and Hawkes processes. I am also interested in computational methods for large spatial and spatio-temporal data.
