From the rigorous training at MCRD San Diego to his assignment at Camp Pendleton, Fehrenbacher's dedication and excellence shone through. Graduating as a squad leader with a meritorious promotion, he set a high standard for himself and his fellow Marines.
Throughout his service, Fehrenbacher's commitment to physical fitness and proficiency in his duties earned him numerous accolades, including medals for outstanding performance and meritorious promotions. His relentless pursuit of excellence is always at a level above & beyond, as he actively participated in various extracurricular sports, showcasing his competitive spirit and determination. Fehrenbacher has always stated, “The Marine Corp made me the man I am today.” Fehrenbacher entered boot camp approximately 5’7” & 165 pounds, and after his first tour of duty, he was 6’1” 197 pounds, so this his statement applies not only mentally but physically as well.
But Fehrenbacher's journey didn't end with his time in the Corps. After completing his term of active duty, he made the transition to civilian life, driven by a desire to pursue higher education. Supported by the USMC through grants and USMC reserve status, he embraced the opportunity to attend college, ensuring a brighter future for himself and his family.
Today, Michael William Fehrenbacher continues to serve his fellow veterans as the Director of Veterans Service Support Group, embodying the Marine Corps' ethos of Semper Fidelis — always faithful. His unwavering dedication to supporting and advocating for his fellow veterans is a testament to his enduring commitment to service, proving that once a Marine, always a Marine.
