Toon Car Lights

While the rest of the class built a showroom for a car model from Mena on the Unity asset store, I chose to explore the other free car asset from Mena which came with a car controller and a small car park environment. I had fun duplicating cones, adding a garage asset and generally seeing how this sample scene was put together and how I would be able to modify it.

I did follow with the tutor in placing lights to the front and rear of the car, changing their field of view, distance and colour and assigning them as children to the car so that they moved with it. The class added on screen buttons in their showroom to turn the lights on and off, so I attached this to the existing car controller script. I added a horn, lights on and off toggle and instead of on and off rear lights I scripted them to turn on when the brakes/reverse button was pushed down and off when the car moved forward again.
