I participated in the Math and Science Curriculum Night on January 30, 2020. This was a great experience. The curriculum was shown through games. My CT, me and one of the other teacher from the team took control in planning and running the science portion of the night. We used force as our guide and incorporated Star Wars into the games. It was a hit! The classrooms were open to anyone from any grade. There was a big turn out with our students and their families. The best part was building relationships with other teachers, admin, students and their families. During that night I formed bonds that followed me for the remainder of the time in school. These bonds were with parents and students in other classes as well as our own. I was able to interact and communicate with families. Explain the rules, and give tickets for participation. It really helped me to work on managing behaviors because there was so much foot traffic. This was a great experience and I was able to learn a lot and build relationships. I participated in a lot of community nights and was lucky enough to get experience with all of our students and families through the year.
