I am a "mestizo" born in Ibague (Colombia), the land of the Chieftain Dulima and the Indigenous Community known as Pijaos. This ancient territory of warriors is protected by the spirit of Ibanasca, who lives in the mountains of the Cañon del Combeima. Wherever I move to, my heritage goes with me.
I came to this ancient territory of the Mississaugas Peoples one year ago as a migrant settler. George Brown College is my new home of studies, in which I am currently enrolled as a Social Service Work international student. My academic background is a double major BA in Journalism and Political Science. Therefore, I did a Master in Creative Writing at the University of Salamanca.
Over my professional practice, I have explored different areas such as investigative journalism, public policy specialist and youth affairs.
