Walk the city, picture your path
Thousands of newcomers arrive in this ancient territory, walking paths first travelled by the Mississauga people—what we now call Toronto. We come as guests on Indigenous land, and as new migrants, we too are settlers. Yet we rarely examine the city through an ethnographic lens. This project asks: What is Tkaronto/Toronto like for a migrant? How do we experience and see the city and its people?
