Mrs. Monica Lee is CEO/Director of Sabio Academy and sponsor of the Midwest Math Circle. She attended school at the University of Sydney, where she studied Economics. She has been coaching math and study skills for Junior High and High School students since 2004.

Shyam is a senior at the Illinois Math and Science Academy (IMSA), a selective residential high school for students gifted in mathematics and science. His passion for math and science led him to join IMSA as a sophomore, skipping the 9th grade. Shyam was a State Mathcounts qualifer and placed in the top 10 nationally in the Math Kangaroo throughout elementary and junior high school . Now, in high school, Shyam qualified for the American Invitational Mathematics Examination and has participated in the Harvard MIT Math Tournament. As a co-founder of MWMC, Shyam hopes to spread the love of competitive math among young, blooming, mathematicians in his hometown.

Adhith Palla is a senior at William Fremd High School in Palatine, Illinois. Having always shown a passion for logical problem solving, Adhith was a leading participant on school and district Math Olympiad teams throughout elementary and junior high school, and is now a starting member of the state ranked Fremd Math Team. Additionally, Adhith has qualified for the American Invitational Mathematics Examination and has attended the Harvard MIT Math Tournament. Before heading off to college with aspirations to establish a career in the medical field, Adhith hopes to leave the Northwest Suburban community with a thriving and efficient competitive math circle.

Edwin is a senior at Schaumburg High School. He has attended Hoover Elementary and Campanelli Elementary School, as well as Margaret Mead Junior High School. He has always shown a passion for math and problem-solving, participating in math contests for his school, with friends, and on his own across many years. Currently a member of the Chicago ARML A/B Team, Edwin has qualified for the AIME and the Illinois State Math Contest twice, and is one of the top 15 scoring juniors in the North Suburban Math League. He is interested in the applications of Mathematics in fields like Computer Science, Physics, Finance, and Economics.

RAJAT MITTAL

Rajat is a junior at Conant High School. He attended Michael Collins and Campanelli Elementary, and later Margaret Mead Junior High School. As a child, Rajat was always interested in mathematics, and his fascination drove him to do multiple state-winning science projects in the math field throughout middle and high school. Besides ranking nationwide in the Math Kangaroo multiple times throughout elementary and middle school, Rajat recently put the achievements of becoming a qualifier for the American Invitational Mathematics Exam and winning the Best Conant Mathlete award under his belt, while also leading his high school math team to putting on its best recorded performance at the state ICTM math conference. Through the MWMC, Rajat hopes to inspire other kids and share with them his love and knowledge for mathematics so that they can grow up to be successful critical thinkers of the future.
