My name is Chad Grandon, founder of Mid Iowa Track Club. I’ve lived in Maxwell since 2018 with my dauthers, Mia and Ellie, but have served the Collins-Maxwell community since August 2014 as the Elementary Principal and Assistant Cross Country Coach. I have always enjoyed running but really started dedicating time to it after college in 2008. Distance running is my passion. I enjoy running 5k, 10k, half-marathon, and marathon distances. I look forward to seeing our athletes grow stronger, gain confidence, and try new distances. Not only will we be growing athletes; we also work on creating productive young people in their communities through our mission.
My name is Jerry Meinerts and I have lived in Maxwell since 2008. I have worked for the Collins-Maxwell school district since 2002, where I am currently the MS Math teacher, Cross Country and Girls Track Coach. I have been involved with Track & Field and Cross Country as long as I can remember. I was lucky enough to compete in both Track & Cross Country at the University of Sioux Falls, and for the past 25 years have been coaching both sports at the JH & HS level. I have obtained my Level 1 Track & Field Coaching Certification through USATF just a few years ago. My wife Heather, works at the elementary, and I have two boys, Owen (9) and Hayden (6). I'm looking forward to helping these tracksters become a more complete athlete, and teaching the value of hard work and dedication and how that can be applied to all aspects of their lives.
My name is MariElyn Reisdorf. I enjoy running as a life-long activity, and hope that other can too. I ran track in HS as a way to prepare for military service and while in the military, I was in charge of the physical training at two duty locations. After my military service, I continued to run for fun in several 5k and 10k races, as well as two half marathons. While I know there are many talented people that run competitively, the majority of people that run do it for fun and as a way to stay active. I hope that kids that are in the running club enjoy the competitive aspect of what we are providing, but also start a life-long love of running. I moved back to Maxwell in 2014 and have one child in kindergarten and one in 4th grade
