TASK
You must now conduct additional research that will help you in the understanding of your identified problem and in the development of a solution.
Your research should be that identified on slide 5 of your portfolio and it should be research that will help to better understand the extent of the problem and contribute to the solution. This could be facts, figures, existing products or anything else that could lead to inspiration and a deeper understanding.
*To achieve exceeding for this assessment area, you may wish to contact someone who can provide help via interview or survey (potential user and/or habitat/sustainability expert, for example).
TASK TIME: 150 MINS (4 x single periods)
GUIDANCE
A habitat refers to the specific environment or area where an organism or a biological community naturally lives and thrives. It encompasses the physical surroundings, including the abiotic factors such as climate, terrain, soil, water availability, and vegetation, as well as the biotic factors, including other organisms that interact within that environment. A habitat provides the necessary resources and conditions for an organism's survival, growth, reproduction, and interactions with other species. It is a dynamic and interconnected system where different organisms have adapted to live and fulfil their ecological roles. Habitats can range from diverse ecosystems like forests, grasslands, and wetlands to smaller-scale environments such as a tree trunk or a pond.
