About Us
Mid-County Joint Ambulance District was originally formed in November 1978 and began providing care for the community in January 1979. Our objective is to provide and maintain an EMS for the protection of life and health in the service area of Mid-County EMS.
We are governed by the Mid-County Joint Ambulance District board, consisting of one representative of each portion of our district, including the villages of Oak Harbor and Rocky Ridge, and Salem Township. The regularly scheduled board meetings currently are held the second Wednesday of each month, at our station, beginning at 7:30PM.
Our department consists of multiple staff members of various levels of EMS training, including EMT, Advanced EMT, and Paramedic. Annually our department has over 900 calls. The service area includes the Villages of Oak Harbor and Rocky Ridge, along with Salem Township and a portion of Benton Township, as well as participation in a county mutual aid agreement with our neighboring EMS agencies. We utilize Zoll X-Series and Autopulse equipment, as well as Stryker power cots and ESO electronic health record.
