Finishing your Hull. Paint Materials

We have all seen paint peeling from wood. But none of that wood was barrier coated, or encapsulated, with two part marine epoxy.

One of many excellent things that barrier coating ab marine douglas fir plywood with two part marine epoxy does is to encapsulate the plywood therefore the douglas fir no longer expands or shrinks.

This stops paint peeling dead in its tracks.

Barrier coating with two part marine epoxy produces a very water proof, very hard surface tht protects the AB Douglas fir plywood.

Barrier coating also provides a hard stable surface for paint or varnish to be applied to.

Knowing this a oil based exterior enamel is all that is needed.

The sun's uv rays will yellow exposed two part marine epoxy. Paint and or varnish protect the marine epoxy from those uv rays.
