Barrier Coat

Barrier coating is applying 4 coats of two part marine epoxy to a plywood surface.

These 4 coats keep water off the marine ab douglas fir plywood.

Rot free. Strong and long lasting.

Use a 3/16" thick foam paint roller to apply.

1" chip brush for surfaces where the roller will not fit.

Procedure

Apply blue painters tape and plastic sheeting to the areas where you do not two part marine epoxy to get.

Ensure the surface to barrier coat is clean. No grease, oil, paint

Room temperature needs to be 60 degrees or more.

First coat.

Roll on enough epoxy to saturate the plywood surface but leave no puddles or drips.

Remove all drips or puddles.

Allow first coat to cure for 45 minutes.

Repeat for the next three coats.

We wait 45 minutes for each coat of two part marine epoxy to cure a bit so it can support the next coat. IMPORTANT.
