Join the FARM!

The FARM membership call is open!

FARM was born in 2016 as a network of scholars working on Romance microvariation. It aims to provide support to junior Romance scholars, by involving them in research activities and facilitate their access to resources, and enhance collaboration between members.

A FARM member is “in charge” of a language, and is the referent for anyone looking for information/support on that language. S/he helps organize workshops and challenges, and participates to our meetings (when possible). FARM is also organizing an OA database with important references on Romance to be made public soon.

If you are a Romance scholar working on the phonology/morphology/syntax/semantics of Romance microvariation, comparative Romance linguistics, Romance languages in contact, and wish to join the network, please send an email to: formal.microvariation@gmail.com

In addition to your name/affiliation/specialization/language of expertise/topics of expertise, we will ask you to provide:

- A list of your publications, with pdfs/links (when available), to be added to the webpage

- A list of the 10 most prominent publications in your language and area of expertise

(We will send you the forms when you email us, so there’s no need to include this info in the email).

Admission is subjected to approval by the committee; to become a FARM member you need to be at least enrolled in a PhD program.

Those who have participated in previous meetings and wish to “rejoin” officially: please do send us an email telling us whether you still want to be in.
