I am using Oracle Database 11g Express Edition Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64bit Production. I have visual studio 2008 and a windows 10 64-bit OS. Where can I get an odbc driver from to be able to create web applications with an oracle db because I can't find any downloads for it on the oracle website

First, are you using the 64-bit version of R? If you are, you need to switch to the 32-bit version of R instead as the Oracle ODBC driver you use in VBA is undoubtedly a 32-bit driver, which will not be recognised if you are running the 64-bit version of R. In an MS Windows installation on Win 7 and above, the 32-bit driver manager used to set up ODBC dsn files is odbcad32.exe in the sysWOW64 folder.

I have a few ODBC Drivers setup and download (both the 32 and 64 bit drivers). I have an ORACLE_HOME environment variable pointing to both of the directories I've extracted ODBC clientbasic and oracle odbc drivers from.

I have installed the 64-bit version of the Oracle ODBC driver (instantclient-odbc-windows.x64-12.1.0.1.0 from -089540.html) on my 64 bit Windows 7 system. The driver shows up in the ODBC administration dialog. However, when I try to define an ODBC source I obtain the error message (translated from German):

Before connecting a third-party application to a database or cloud source through ODBC, you need to set up a data source name (DSN) for the ODBC driver in the Data Source Administrator. A 64-bit version of the Microsoft Windows operating system includes both the 64-bit and 32-bit versions of the Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) Data Source Administrator tool (odbcad32.exe):

odbc, Data Source Name, oracle, system DSN, OLEDB, OLE DB, rpt, Microsoft ODBC for Oracle, Oracle in OraClient11g_home1, TNS, TNS Service name, Microsoft ODBC for HANA , KBA , BI-DEV-NET , BI Software Development Kits (SDKs) - .NET or Other , HAN-STD-DEV-MOD-CLT , SAP HANA Analytical Modeling Client , Problem

In case that the wrong version of the Microsoft ODBC drivers for SQL Server is trying to be installed (e.g. x86\msodbcsql.msi on the Windows 64-bit version), the following warning message will appear:

Note: If you need to modify the DSN or create other LinkedIn Ads DSNs, you must use a system DSN and the bitness of the DSN must match your Oracle system. You can access and create 32-bit DSNs on a 64-bit system by opening the 32-bit ODBC Data Source Administrator from C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe. 006ab0faaa
