Microsoft 365 is a popular productivity suite that provides essential applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneDrive. Whether you are setting up Microsoft 365 on a new computer or reinstalling it on an existing device, the process is straightforward when you follow the correct steps.
How to Use Microsoft 365.com/setup
Follow these steps to get started:
Open a web browser and go to Microsoft 365.com/setup.
Make sure you are using Microsoft's website to avoid entering your Microsoft account information on an unofficial website.
Sign in using the Microsoft account you want to associate with your Microsoft 365 license.
If you don't have an account, you can create one during the setup process.
If your Microsoft 365 purchase includes a product key, enter the 25-character code when prompted.
Check the characters carefully before continuing. Once the key has been redeemed, it is generally linked to the Microsoft account you used during the process.
After redeeming the product key, sign in to your Microsoft account and look for the option to install Microsoft 365.
Select the appropriate installation option for your device and download the installer.
Open the downloaded installation file and follow the instructions displayed on your screen.
The installation time can vary depending on your internet connection and computer.
After installation, open an application such as Word or Excel.
Sign in with the same Microsoft account used during setup. Microsoft 365 should recognize your license and activate the applications.
How to Reinstall Microsoft 365
If Microsoft 365 is already associated with your Microsoft account, you generally don't need to redeem the product key again.
Instead:
Sign in to your Microsoft account.
Open your Microsoft 365 account page.
Find your Microsoft 365 subscription or installation option.
Select the option to install Microsoft 365.
Download and run the installer.
