Call For Papers

The Department of Economics at Lund University, with the generous support of the Arne Ryde Foundation, is organizing the 2nd Arne Ryde Workshop "Micro Data meet Macro Models" on 22-23 August 2024 in Lund, Sweden.

The workshop aims to foster discussion and collaborations between Scandinavian institutions (particularly known for having access to rich administrative micro data) and the broader European and global network of macro and micro researchers. The focus of the event is to bring together scholars approaching macroeconomic questions using micro data and scholars employing macroeconomic models suitable for micro-data testing as well as drawing from micro evidence.

The keynote speakers will be:
Professor Luigi Pistaferri (Stanford University)

Associate Professor Michaela Pagel (Washington University Olin Business School)

Dates and venue: 22-23 August 2024, at Grand Hotel Lund, Lund, Sweden. 

Paper submission and deadline: The deadline for submission of papers or extended abstracts is 23:59 CET, May 12th.

Preference will be given to full papers over extended abstracts. Please send the paper to micromacro@nek.lu.se.

Authors of accepted papers should be prepared to act as discussants during the workshop.

Notification of acceptance: Authors will be notified of acceptance by May 31st.

We cover up to 2 nights accommodation in Lund and economy-class travel costs for speakers up to 150$ from Scandinavian countries, 350$ from the rest of Europe, 700$ from the US East Coast and 1000$ from the US West Coast.

Researchers with an interest in the topic can apply for attendance without a paper presentation or discussion. The number of places for non-presenting participants is limited and slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
