This two-day online event runs August 21 and 22, 2025.
This year's theme is Student Engagement.
Micro-teaching is when a group of faculty observe others teaching short lessons and provide feedback. On day one, you will plan and teach a “small” lesson (10-15 minutes long) to a group of peers (approx. 4-6 participants) and receive feedback. Through webinars later that day, you’ll learn about educational technology tools, course design, and more. On day two, we’ll begin by learning more about student engagement. You’ll then have an opportunity to prepare and teach a second lesson — again to a small group — related to your area of expertise using the feedback that was provided on the day before and incorporating what you learned during the webinars. It is also a great opportunity for you to experiment with your teaching style and collaborate with your peers.
