Mick co-founded and fronted Sydney's Space Juniors, known for their energetic don't bore us, get to the chorus style, regularly playing iconic venues, such as the Hopetoun and the Trade Union Club, supporting bands like The Scientists and the Celibate Rifles. There 1989 single, Chewin, debuted at #1 on the indie charts of Sydney and Melbourne.
