RPU - Road Patrol Unit

The Road Patrol Unit (RPU) of the Michigan State Police primarily patrols the roads and highways across Michigan. Their job is to monitor traffic, enforce laws, respond to accidents, assist drivers, and ensure safety on the state’s roadways. While they focus on traffic-related duties, they can also respond to emergencies and assist local law enforcement agencies as needed throughout the state.
