This is Yoshi on an egg having fun.
This is a drawing of Yoshi. I used curve lines on Yoshi's body and the egg he is standing on. Many different colors were added in the bubbles such as red, pink, blue, yellow and more. There is also motion. The water the egg is on makes ripples because the egg is touching the water. The motion it makes is away from the egg.
I used curve lines for Yoshi. The lines are around his tummy, nose, eyes, and fingers. I did a somewhat pointy line for the things that are on his head close to his hand that is going up. The shoe has circles where the shoe lace goes. The shoe and Yoshi also have form. The shoe has more of a three dimensional shape than Yoshi, but Yoshi is made three dimensional because of where his arm and his back leg is positioned.
Scary Hallway
On the sides it shows Sponge bob and a fish behind windows. Doors with strange drawings and words that say "Play My Game" in the middle of the hallway. Lots of exits and keys. I got the inspiration from my mind and a game to find the exit. The successful parts are the parts with the color pencil. 2 elements of art and principles of design I used are color, line, rhythm and emphasis. I used the color red for the words "Play My" and I repeated hatched lines throughout the shadows. The emphasis in my drawing is "Play My" because it is the darkest color.
TADA T-SHIRT Contest
I wanted to design something that is cartoon-ish and simple. I decided on this design because the objects on the shirt are all things you could use when creating something. My inspiration was scissors, a paint bucket and the TADA sign with art supplies. I wanted something similar to a paint bucket, so I just made it look like a splash. I used shape and color, emphasis and contrast. The dark colors in the back emphasis the light colors. It makes the color contrast to each other, so it pops out. The shape element was used for the blue splotch of paint. Making it a good color to contrast the yellow, so it makes it look like the yellow is popping.
Harry Potter Grid Drawing
I used soft out lines to form the portrait of Harry Potter. The whole drawing was formed of the two contrast colors, black and white. The darkest part where the black was added was the hair and the lightest part the highlight shines is the nose. This balances the values of the facial features and the asymmetrical hair.
Maxine Waters
I used lines to draw the strange looking people and animals that are fighting each other. Contrast was used to try and show some features of the two that are fighting. Texture was used for the small rock mixed with mushroom looking islands. Movement is shown by sea animals floating in the background. Strange looking creatures at the side of the drawing and a thing that to me seems to be consuming everything. All this is happening in a blue, purple, green, yellow space background.
Maxine Waters
I used a lot of colors such as green, red, blue, yellow and more for the strange size mushroom trees and a forest where strange little mushroom people and a guardian live. Different shapes were also used for the mushrooms and the people. The river shows movement and on the other side of the river there are more asymmetrical(balance) mushrooms and flowers, but the people on that side are from a different tribe.
Digital Color Theory
The image I chose is Pokemon. Pokemon is a popular show that many people like to watch. My favorite color scheme is the Monochromatic colors. I like how the shades of green can be lighten and darken. I also like how the two colors look next to each other. I had used the outline to show where the other geometric shapes are at such as circles on the Pokemon and the triangles that shape the wings. I used contrast for the blue and orange, and the green and red colored Pokemon. Movement was shown by putting the smallest Pokemon on the left top side and enlarging it till it got to the front of the bottom right side.
Pokemon Card
The card I painted is called Basculin. The Pokemon is a basic and a water type. Because it is surrounded by the ocean I continued adding water and a boat with another Pokemon called Oshawott. Some elements of art that were used are color and space. My colors had to be blended together to make the right color that would match the ocean, land and the objects such as the brown boats and the purple, gray, black portal looking thing in the sky. Space was used to show that the closer the object was the bigger like the boat with the Pokemon, and the farther the object was the smaller it is like the sand in the back near the volcano. Some principles of design that are used in the painting are movement and rhythm. The ocean waves and the clouds are examples of movement. The clouds move in or out (however you see it) from the main Pokemon picture and the ocean continues the movement to the right. The highlights on the ocean tops show rhythm. White lines mixed with some water were used on the ocean to make highlights.
