This was an activity that I did with my students to reinforce their understanding of argumentative writing. They had to work in groups to craft an argument about a given topic. They did not know that they would be doing this activity, so I was pleased to see that everyone was engaged and actively participating in one way or another. Most students reported in the reflection at the end that they enjoyed the activity and understood why they presented their parts of an argument as a debate. While this activity was done in class, it still showcases my use of technology to enhance the learning of the content at hand. This could have been a collaborative activity that leaners completed online instead of working face-to-face. It could be seen as more of a challenge if learners are working on one part of the debate at a time with longer work time in-between waiting for the other side to gather their evidence to support their claim.
