In December 2022, with Dr Wike Been, I applied for the YAG-SER funding to build a network of researchers at the University of Groningen working on labour and digitalisation. Panoptiwork covers 7 faculties at the University of Groningen (Arts, Behavioural and Social Sciences, Economics and Business, Law, Philosophy, Science and Engineering, Spacial Sciences) and involves over 20 researchers.
Panoptiwork was granted €30.000 for the period 2022-2024. We hired a Research assistant to support us. Since 2022 I coordinated the following activities:
Research meetings
Blogpost series from students
Panoptiwork talk series
Interfaculty thesis supervision of Bachelor and Master students
Conference 2 December 2024: "Interdisciplinary perspectives on labour and digitalisation"
Co-editor issue 2/2024 of the Italian Labour Law e-Journal (n. 2/2024), published December 2024
In February 2023 I was granted by the NAWA (Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange) €2.000 for a research stay at the University of Warsaw (1 February 2023 - 14 February 2023) to study the ECtHR case law on workplace surveillance and recent developments on the topic of privacy at work. I was supervised by Prof. Beryl ter Haar at the Center for International and European Labour Law Studies (CIELLS). There I wrote a blog entry and a peer reviewed publication (See publications).
